The recent appointment of Ruben Amorim as Manchester United's manager has sparked speculation about potential signings from his former club. It seems that Manchester United has already expressed interest in Quenda, indicating a long-standing appreciation for the talent of this young wunderkind.

Amorim wants to sign his former club's talent

The Red Devils aka Manchester United have been actively scouting Quenda since last season, recognizing his alignment with their strategy of targeting young talents with significant potential, as highlighted by The Telegraph.

Manchester United is moving forward with a robust offer of €60 million plus bonuses to Sporting CP, intending to sign him next summer after he turns 18, according to A Bola. Quenda, who is contracted to Sporting until 2027, is eager to reunite with Amorim at Old Trafford.

Amorim granted Quenda his senior debut at Sporting and has made it clear that he may pursue talent from his former club next summer. However, he firmly stated that he will not be signing any players from Sporting in January.

Amorim is monitoring Sporting's upcoming match against Arsenal in the Champions League to evaluate how Quenda performs against Premier League competition as a potential transfer to Old Trafford looms.

The young talent has already made a strong impression against English teams this season, securing an assist during Sporting's fantastic 4-1 victory over Premier League Champions Manchester City.
