Now at the age of 48, he is fondly remembered for his magical performances at Inter, Real Madrid, and the Brazil national team, where he achieved great success, notably winning the 2002 FIFA World Cup.

Ronaldo Nazario picked his worst footballer

"There was one at Real Madrid who was a joke - Gravesen. He was a Danish midfielder. He was a really cool guy, good guy. A little while ago he won a $50million (£40million) poker tournament or something. But in football he was very bad, he scored and he beat the hell out of people." Ronaldo said.

The bunch spent one and a half seasons together at Santiago Bernabeu before Gravesen departed to Celtic in 2006 due to his difficulties with Los Blancos.

His transfer to Real Madrid from Everton was surprising, occurring just a week after his notable clash against Plymouth in the FA Cup. During his time in the Spanish capital, Gravesen appeared 49 times for the club and netted a goal while sharing the pitch alongside legends like Raul, Roberto Carlos, and Zinedine Zidane.

The Galacticos star, Gravesen is remembered for two major incidents: he knocked out one of Ronaldo's teeth and fought Robinho during a training session.

The clash with the former No. 9 was largely perceived as harmless, as the Dane attempted to hug him before playfully throwing him. In stark contrast, the altercation with Robinho in 2006 was deemed much more serious.

The incident surfaced when the Brazilian responded to a series of tackles from Gravesen, initiating a clash between the players. Earlier reports from the poker forum Two Plus Two suggested that the former Premier League player had a worth of £100 million. However, subsequent news revealed that the Dane faced a loss of £43.6 million in a single poker session.
