FC Barcelona have been struggling with form in the ongoing season. The Blaugranes are currently second placed in the la Liga table. They are are knocked out of the UEFA Champions League after losing against Paris Saint-Germain in the quarter-finals of the tournament. Barca are also 11 points behind their arch rivals Real Madrid, as the Los Blancos are one game away from winning the league. As per the recent rumoours Barca are planning the to sell some big names in the upcoming summer transfer window. 

However, the team is aiming to finish the season on a high note by placing second in the league. Xavi, who announced his exit from the club at the end of the season, has decided to stay even longer after discussing with the management. The former World Cup winner believes his duty with the club is unfinished as he won the Spanish league in the last season only and helped the side to qualfiy in the UCL knockouts as well. 

There has been financial challenges for the club over the recent years, though they managed to sign some of the best names in Europe in the last two seasons, with likes of Robert Lewandowski, Frenkie de Jong, Raphinha, Andreas Christensen. But the club has also made some additions through the academy with Lamine Yamal, Pau Cubarsi, Gavi.

The Polish striker confirms he is happy to stay at the club as he feels special to be a part of the Catalonian club because of the history of the club. He told Mundo Deportivo, "It is the biggest club in the world and I’m proud to be part of it." The No.9 is having a cold season at the club after he failed to perform cosistently in the ongoing season. In 90 appearances for the Blaugranes he has scored 56 goals and has 17 assists to his name. 

As per the latest report by the Athletic, Barca have made it clear that they will only make three players 'untouchables' in the upcoming market, with others might be seen leaving the club. There have been big names in the list, as the management decides to bring in some financial help ahead of the next season.
