Real Madrid sets sights on onboarding Enzo Fernandez with an astonishing 'swap deal'

Real Madrid is considering a strategic transfer to bolster their squad by proposing a direct exchange with Premier League club Chelsea. 

The club aims to sign midfielder Fernandez and is willing to offer Aurelien Tchouameni in return. According to a report from Spanish outlet Direct TV Sports (via Sport Witness), this potential deal would be structured as a player-for-player exchange, with no cash transactions involved.

Real Madrid plans to pull off 'Enzo' heist 

The Galacticos are actively pursuing Enzo Fernandez's services. The 24-year-old midfielder has had a good season at Stamford Bridge, netting three goals and delivering eight assists in 25 matches. 

Reports indicate that the World Cup winner is contemplating leaving Chelsea this January due to recent controversies. Although it's unclear if these issues are directly related, Fernandez has certainly been in the spotlight related to outside commotion in recent months.

Last year, Enzo was in all sorts of problems when he shared a live video that featured Argentine players singing chants about French players in July 2024. He took responsibility for this by publicly apologizing and also reaching out to his teammates at Stamford Bridge privately. Additionally, in September 2024, he encountered a suspension of six months due to offences committed in Wales.

These events could provide Enzo with an opportunity for a fresh start at Real Madrid. There have also been reports of Aurelien Tchouameni experiencing differences with Real Madrid manager Carlo Ancelotti, prompting the talented 24-year-old to explore alternatives beyond the Bernabeu.

Real Madrid is also making a strong move to secure Chelsea's transfer target, Ousmane Diomande, according to Fichajes net. With their defence grappling with injuries and fitness issues, bolstering their backline is a top priority for the club.
