Retired football legend Toni Kroos was seen distributing free ice-cream to children in his foundation in Germany. The former midfielder is known to be one of the nicest and down-to-earth people from the football community and is known to give back to the people. An image posted by his foundation shows how he is giving away ice-cream without charging a single penny from the children.

In order to directly assist children who are gravely ill, Toni Kroos established his own charity in 2015. Toni Kroos personally backs his foundation and ensures speedy assistance, simple processing, and brief decision-making processes. He covers all of the operating expenses in private, meaning that every donation is applied directly to our relief efforts.

Mostly with Real Madrid but also with Bayern Munich, Kroos claimed numerous championships, including six UEFA Champions Leagues, three Bundesligas, three German Cups, four Spanish leagues, and one Copa del Rey. At the conclusion of UEFA Euro 2024, the 34-year-old declared in May his intention to was planning on retiring. This meant that the 114th game he played for Germany ended up being his final one.

Why did Toni Kroos start his own foundation?

On the website of the Toni Kroos foundation, the former Bayern Munich midfielder has mentioned as to what made him start this journey. He said, “The foundation is a matter close to my heart. I founded it so that I could actively help seriously ill children and their families. It is important to me to provide unbureaucratic and quick help so that sick children can receive urgently needed aids and therapies quickly. Especially when the nursing or health insurance companies do not provide sufficient financial support or do not provide any support at all.”

He added, “In addition to our classic family support, it is also important to my team and me to give a little extra joy in life through small gifts or special events. Because in families with seriously ill or chronically ill children, every little moment of joy is infinitely valuable! For all of us, there is no better reward for our work than the happy laughter of children.”
