Amidst speculations of a potential transfer to Paris Saint Germain or Juventus, British winger Jordan Sancho travelled with Manchester United to their second game of the season against Brighton but found himself out of the bench at the Amex stadium.

Manchester United's Coach Eric Tension Hag insisted that the Winger Sancho must compete for his place in the team. Sancho travelled with Manchester United to face Seagulls on Saturday due to a shortage of options.

Eric landed an unchanged eleven and bench from a 1-0 victory against Fulham past week. Sancho, who missed the season opener against Fulham on account of illness, didn't manage to get any minutes on the field against Brighton.

Ten Hag, in an interview with TNT Sports, revealed the reason for Sancho's absence. Eric mentioned that there were "some issues " and hence he had to make a choice.

Ten Hag on Sancho's position in the Team

Ten Hag stated -  "He's here. I had a choice to make. We had some issues, we need a full squad. He is  one of them and needs to compete for his position, we'll have a look in the squad, it's a long season."

After experiencing limited playing time, Jordan Sancho returned to Dortmund on loan for the second half of the season.

On his return, it seemed that Sancho and Ten Hag had resolved their differences, although it's clear that the winger needs to work hard to regain his spot in the squad.

Additionally, there have been speculations about Sancho potentially leaving Old Trafford, with Paris Saint-Germain showing interest.

Meanwhile, Manchester United is actively pursuing their transfer targets this summer, with reports suggesting that they are close to securing a loan deal with an obligation to buy Manuel Ugarte.
