She was seen shopping alone in Barcelona a week after the news of their split was reported.

Pep Guardiola's wife chose to remain silent

As a Spanish reporter approached her in the city centre, she greeted him with a smile, showing her stylish outfit consisting of white trainers, loose-fitting grey trousers, and a designer handbag gracefully draped over her left shoulder.

When asked how she was doing, the mum-of-three responded positively, expressing that she was doing perfectly fine.

"Perfecta, gracias" she said.

However, she chose not to comment when questioned about the rumours suggesting that the reason for their breakup was Guardiola's decision to remain at Manchester City by signing a two-year contract extension with the club.

Renowned Spanish journalists Lorena Vazquez and Laura Fa, aka the Mamarazzis, were the first to report on the couple's separation at the beginning of last week.

Days later, reports emerged on a podcast stating that entrepreneur Cristina had made a decisive choice after discovering Pep had reversed his decision to leave Britain and would remain in his current role until 2027.

Cristina continued to visit her husband in his adopted city until last summer, even though she returned to Barcelona in 2019 with their youngest daughter, Valentina, to concentrate on her business pursuits.

The couple met for the first time in 1994 and tied the knot in 2014. Spanish media have reported that Pep and Cristina maintain a cordial and affectionate relationship, emphasizing that their separation was not caused by a third party.

Their eldest daughter, Maria, shared insights on her parents' lessons about love, becoming the first family member to speak out following the surprising news of their split.

“They also remind me that the most important thing in life is to love and be loved. In the end it all comes down to feeling loved." Maria said.

“Even in situations where we feel out of place, they tell me to listen carefully to others, there is always something valuable to learn from each person we meet.” she added.
