Pep Guardiola confirmed that there's no change in him taking a break from Managing Football clubs, following the end of his current contract with Manchester City. The 54-year-old, who has won 18 titles with City including six Premier League titles and one Champions League, has wished to move away from Managing for an indefinite period to focus on himself and his body.

Speaking about his decision, Guardiola claimed that his break is decided and could happen for a year, two, three, five, ten, fifteen, or even more years. Manchester City's most successfuly manager felt the need to focus on himself amindst some challenging period for City due to injuries of some key players.

"I know that after this stage with City I’m going to stop, that’s for sure. It’s decided, more than decided. I don’t know how long I’ll stop for — a year, two years, three years, five, ten, fifteen — I don’t know. But I will leave after this spell with City because I need to stop and focus on myself, on my body," said Guardiola in an interview with GQ Spain.

The 54-year-old hinted that he's been disappointed with the treatment he's been getting in almost every stadium in the last few years, where the fans have been chanting 'You’ll be sacked in the morning,' 'They’re going to fire you,' and so on. Guardiola felt in no other profession does an individual gets treated the way he got in the last few months.

"I've spent four or five months this year in every away stadium with the crowd chanting, 'You’ll be sacked in the morning. They’re going to fire you'. There’s no other profession — architect, teacher, doctor, journalist — where 60,000 people ask you to lose your job," added Guardiola in the interview.
