Manchester City who are the favourites of winning the English Premier League will be travelling to White Hart Lane to face Tottenham Hotspurs on Tuesday. The Sky Blues are on the verge of winning the league for the fourth consecutive time. The footballers are focused on the game against the North London side. Pep Guardiola's side have been one of the best teams in England over recent years. The club is in the final of the FA Cup and will be facing arch-rivals Manchester United. 

Ahead of the game in the pre-match press conference, the Spanish manager said he wants his players to make history and challenge misconceptions that he believes are being used to minimise their chances of winning the leagues. The club was chasing a treble however they were knocked out of the UEFA Champions League by Real Madrid with their dream being shattered. 

However the double is still on for the side as they are in the final of the FA Cup and in the title race of the PL as well. Winning the domestic league would see the Blues become the first team to win four English top-flight titles in a row. The equation for the side is simple win the two remaining games and they will be crowned champions.

Pep Guardiola hits back at rival clubs

Guardiola took a dig at his current rivals, pointing out that City's net expenditure has been lower than a handful of clubs that are yet to win a Premier League title during his tenure. He referred to net spend over the last five seasons of the other clubs, Guardiola hit back at Chelsea, Arsenal, and Manchester United for their lack of success despite far more spending. This comes after City have been involved in breaching the PL rules. 

There have been 115 charges filed against the club and has been accused of gaining an unfair advantage over other City Football Group-owned clubs, and the repercussions could be problematic for the club. The club has previously been accused of breaking Premier League rules over 100 times between 2009 and 2018.
