Paul Pogba's cryptic Instagram story fuels rumours of his return

Paul Pogba appears to be on the verge of making his return to football as he approaches the end of his reduced doping ban. After facing a four-year suspension earlier this year due to multiple doping test failures, there has been much speculation about his future in the sport.

However, the 31-year-old midfielder's comeback now seems likely, and a recent story on his Instagram featuring a series of intriguing emojis suggests that he may have decided on his footballing path.

Pogba's likely return to the pitch 

Following Paul Pogba's appeal against his original ban, the Court of Arbitration for Sport has agreed to reduce the suspension to 18 months. In their official statement, they acknowledged that Mr. Pogba's positive test for DHEA was unintentional and stemmed from a supplement prescribed by his medical doctor in Florida. Consequently, he will be eligible to return to play in March 2025. As he looks towards his comeback, it remains to be seen which clubs will be interested in acquiring his talents.

Numerous clubs are actively pursuing Pogba following the announcement of his return to football in early 2025. A reunion with Manchester United is on the table, but former Red Devils star Andrew Cole warns that signing him could be a significant risk, considering he still lacks maturity in his game. Additionally, the 2018 World Cup winner appears keen on a transfer to Ligue 1 club Marseille.
