Alexander Isak, the 25-year-old Swedish striker who is an attractive proposition for Paris Saint-Germain, is wanted by Newcastle United, and the club will require a sum in the nine figures to consider selling him. There are rumours that Paris Saint-Germain is interested in Alexander Isak. The striker from Newcastle United is wanted by the Ligue 1 winners for next season. However, the Tyneside team is asking €100 million for the 25-year-old, so he won't come cheap.

Since leaving Real Sociedad in 2022 to join Newcastle United, Alexander Isak has advanced significantly. Despite a few fitness setbacks over the past two years, the Swede has lived up to expectations and proven the huge potential which Borussia Dortmund was unable to realise in him a few seasons prior.

The 25-year-old is a productive player for the Tyneside team and has established himself in the final third. Isak has made 72 appearances for Newcastle United thus far, scoring 36 goals and dishing out six assists. The player has also established himself as a constant presence for Sweden.

Meanwhile, prominent clubs throughout Europe have been made aware of Alexander Isak's achievements for his team and nation. Before a deal fell through, a number of European power brokers discussed acquiring the Swedish international during the summer transfer window. Paris Saint-Germain is now pursuing him as they look for a key attacker to properly replace Kylian Mbappe.

Why does PSG want to sign Alexander Isak?

It makes sense that PSG would be interested in Alexander Isak. In the summer transfer window of 2025, the Ligue 1 winners hope to add a productive striker, particularly in case Goncalo Ramos as well as Randal Kolo Muani don't live up to expectations in the 2024–2025 campaign. Thus, PSG now has a legitimate chance to pursue the Newcastle United mainstay.

But the 25-year-old Swede won't come cheap, Newcastle United has placed a €100 million price tag on him. Isak is taking his time to write down his intentions, but the Magpies are interested in binding him to a new deal in order to keep his suitors at bay.
