Nike has been producing kits for Barcelona since 1998, but there hasn't been a deal between Nike and Barcelona since the year 2016. According to Joan Poqui and Fernando Polo of Mundo Deportivo, Barcelona and Nike have verbally agreed on a new contract. At a meeting with the club members, which may happen on October 19, the club will probably announce the agreement.

Barcelona was only able to sign Dani Olmo as a first team player during the summer after their attempt to return to La Liga's 1:1 rule was unsuccessful. It seems that sooner rather than later, club officials will make good on their pledge to make sure that this doesn't happen throughout future transfer windows.

MD claims that Barcelona thinks they have a deal in place with Nike for a new sponsorship deal. Currently, the deal set to expire in 2028, and the agreement between the two will be extended. Through their partnership with Nike, Barca will receive 'far over 100 million euro per season'. In January, the club will be able to spend all proceeds from a player's sale because to the substantial signing bonus that they will receive. This will enable them to reinstate the 1:1 transfer rule, which will enable Dani Olmo to play for the second half of the season.

Renewal incentive would be given Barcelona

In an attempt to make a few major additions, Barcelona originally intended to sign a new contract with Nike last summer. However, they ultimately opted to postpone the process and work out further details. Barcelona's Assembly is scheduled to adopt the new contract next month, subjected to the customary act of signing. There is a great deal of optimism that the matters will be resolved soon, though, as the club has already begun to apply the additional funds to its budget for this season.

Should that be the case, the sporting management may decide to bolster Hansi Flick's team by launching one or more ongoing initiatives. Under the new agreement, Barcelona would continue to pay Nike a fixed amount each season roughly 90 million euro for ten seasons. A renewal incentive worth between 120 and 150 million euro would also be given to Barcelona club.
