Nike introduces new Premier League winter edition footballs

As Nike's 25-year tenure as the official match ball supplier to the Premier League comes to a close, we have been introduced to the final hi-vis Flight match ball from this partnership. With the upcoming time change this weekend, the visibility of the pitch is expected to be diminished. To address this issue during the approaching winter months, Nike and the Premier League have unveiled the new hi-vis match ball for the 24/25 season. This also marks the end of the current partnership, as PUMA is set to take over as the ball provider from the 25/26 season onwards.

Nike's Special Winter Ball

The first Nike Flight match ball of the 24/25 season showcases a classic white base adorned with volt and purple graphic overlays. The latter creates a ribbon-like effect, adding visual definition to the design as it traverses the ball's surface. As for the Hi-Vis version set to debut later this month, it retains the same graphic layout. However, the white base is replaced with yellow, the volt details shift to a deep purple hue, and the ribbon graphic incorporates a transitioning lighter purple, orange, and pink effect.

With the change of season, the bright yellow ball with hot pink and purple details has been introduced by Nike. It is expected to be the center of attention and focus in the field, in the dark with flood lights and rainy skies.

The Nike Flight Hi-Vis ball is built with Aerowsculpt technology, featuring grooves debossed into the casing to ensure seamless air travel around the ball, resulting in a truer flight.
