Lionel Messi has a huge fan following across the world. This was the highest attendance as there was not much attendance in the whole of Euro 2024 and the Copa America so far.

Cristiano Ronaldo’s side lost the game in penalties and the Al-Hilal fans were seen chanting 'Messi, Messi, Messi' in front of the Portuguese footballer when he went to collect his runners-up medal and during the match as well.

The 32-year-old Brazilian was present in the crowd and enjoyed the moment, he said, "I was surprised here at Al-Hilal that everyone loves Messi even though he did not play here. When they chanted Messi’s name in the Al-Nasr and Al-Hilal match, it was surprising, but this is Messi’s legacy. You do not have to play here and there, but Leo is loved by everyone."
