Neymar Jr.’s agent has put an end to rumors that he will be leaving Al-Hilal and returning to Santos. On Sunday, there were rumors that Santos and Neymar had struck a spectacular agreement for Santos to rejoin his hometown team after more than a decade away. Since joining the Saudi Club Al-Hilal, Neymar has been beset by ailments, which has raised concerns that his tenure there may be brief. But according to Zahavi, Neymar's agent, the new rumors are just that.
Neymar’s agent Pini Zahavi spoke to Fabrizio Romano as he said, “There are no talks ongoing for Neymar to leave Al Hilal. He’s under contract and very happy there. Neymar’s father and me, we are the only people who can talk about Ney’s future. I don’t know where recent rumours are coming from.”
Cesar Luis Merlo, the person who first leaked reported Neymar and Santos might have an agreement in place, has responded, saying that time will show that his claim is accurate. Although this drama is still ongoing, Neymar will be forced to watch from the stands as witness plays Al-Khaleej on Saturday because he is still unable to make an appearance for Al-Hilal owing to a hamstring injury.
Palmeiras President takes dig at Neymar Jr.
The head of Palmeiras, a Brazilian powerhouse, made fun of Neymar's injury problems at Al-Hilal while ruling out the idea of recruiting the legendary player. Since joining Al-Hilal in the Saudi Pro League last summer, Neymar has had fitness issues. Whilst on international duty in October 2023, he tore his ACL, which kept him out of playing for almost a year.
The Palmeiras President said, “Great player, but he's going to Santos. I don't know, you have to ask Santos, but not here, he wouldn't come. I want to invest in someone who can come in immediately, who can start tomorrow if the coach decides. Palmeiras is not a medical department. I do not accept that a player signed by Palmeiras is not ready to play immediately."
