Nacho Fernandez leaves Real Madrid after 23 years to join Al Qadsiah

Nacho Fernandez has made his move to Saudi Arabia club Al Qadsiah. The Real Madrid captain had rifts between him and Carlo Ancelotti. There has been a problem among the side with Ancelotti and the club captain. The centre-back has been unhappy with the coach as he has not been the first choice despite performing well in the matches. The Los Blancos were interested in another one-year extension but he decided to leave the club. 

The incident began at Mestalla versus Valencia, where he was benched after three starts to bet on the Frenchman. However, it did not suit the Spanish defender, and he had to decide to leave Spain after 23 years with the club. Nacho was expected to be the last-choice central defense next season. All the others would have come out fit ahead of the 2024/25 season. 

Real Madrid has also been informed of the move. Nacho's deal with the Saudi team is rumoured to have a salary of €10 million per year. With this move, Nacho concludes his illustrious career at Real Madrid. He has been with the club since he was a child and is departing on a positive note.  He helped Real Madrid win the league championship, the Spanish Super Cup, and the UEFA Champions League.

Nacho completes his medical with the Saudi club

Nacho completed his medical examination a few days ago, and the agreement was finalised a few hours ago. He currently is playing for Spain in the UEFA Euro 2024. Al Qadsiah only gained promotion last season and hopes to challenge the top four teams for the league title. They have the support of the oil corporation Aramco and the leadership of Michel, who is well-known for his football knowledge.

The Los Blancos has signed Kylian Mbappe for the upcoming season and the French superstar is also eager to start his campaign with his dream club after the end of the UEFA Euro 2024. The Spanish champions look a very formidable side after the signing of the 25-year-old winger.
