Real Madrid are almost the Champions of La Liga with the side just a few points away from winning the league. They are also the current favourites to win the UEFA Champions League, as they are currently in the semi-final of the competition and had a 2-2 draw against Bayern Munich at the Allianz Arena in the 1st leg. The next leg is set to be played at the Santiago Bernabeu and Carlo Ancelotti's side might edge out against the Germans.

However, the team has been performing well in the UCL and La Liga and has been difficult to beat. There has been a problem among the side with Ancelotti and club captain Nacho Fernandez. The centre-back has been unhappy with the coach as he has not been the first choice despite performing well in the matches. The Los Blancos were interested in another one-year extension but he has decided to leave the club.

The incident started back in Mestalla against Valencia, as after three starts in the game he was benched to bet on the Frenchman. However, it did not suit well for the Spanish defender and he had to take the decision to leave Spain after 23 years of his span with the club. Nacho is likely to be the last-choice central defender next season.

The Los Blancos will be up against Cadiz in their next game at home and if they win the league with four games to spare. Then they will be up against Bayern for the 2nd leg. Madrid are 11 points ahead in the league table.
