With his summer transfer to Bayern Munich, Michael Olise has created quite a stir in the European football scene. The French international, who was born in London, paid almost 55 million euros to join the German powerhouse, indicating the attention he attracted following his stellar years at Crystal Palace.

Michael Olise's skill was further displayed at the Paris Olympics, when he excelled as one among the competition's most outstanding players. His status as one of among the most talented French football players of today has been cemented by his exploits.

In a recent interview, Michael Olise was questioned about his idols while growing up. Surprisingly, he left Cristiano Ronaldo out of it which had taken his supporters by shock. He said, Olise revealed: "My youth football idols? Neymar, Zidane and Messi."

Moving up to the senior men's national squad, Bayern Munich forward Michael Olise made a big impression for France in the 2024 Summer Olympics. During the September international window, the 22-year-old was called up to play for France in the Nations League after starting both of Bayern's opening two Bundesliga matches this year under Vincent Kompany.

Didier Deschamps, the coach of France, seems to be pleased with what he has seen in Olise thus far at Bayern and with the Olympic team this summer. With the latter, Olise assisted in getting the French into the Olympic Final, where they were defeated by Spain 5-3 in extra time.

France lost 3-1 to Italy to begin their UEFA Nations League campaign. They play Belgium on Monday when they return to action.
