Manchester United are reportedly looking at possible replacements for Marcus Rashford and are in contact with the management of Napoli striker Victor Osimhen. Following his exclusion from the United matchday squad for three straight games in a week, Rashford has lost favour under Ruben Amorim. The player has already stated that he is prepared to take on a new challenge in his career, which has increased speculation over his future at Old Trafford.

Marcus Rashford has come under fire for stating openly that he wants a "new challenge" after Ruben Amorim, the new head coach, cut him from United's squad for the Manchester derby. Since then, he has been left out of two more matchday squads. The main problem with Rashford is that he makes well over 300,000 euros a week, with reports putting that figure anywhere between £315,000 and 365,000 euros. United needs to get rid of that money before investing in a replacement.

Victor Osimhen is being considered as a possible replacement by United executives, who are already in communication with the striker's entourage, according to Sky Sports Switzerland. After a last-minute transfer to Chelsea fell through, Osimhen joined Galatasaray on loan from Napoli in the summer. However, if the Serie A team receives a permanent bid, they are thought to have the option to recall him in January.

Manchester United interested in signing Victor Osimhen

Rashford's possible departure during the January transfer window may provide room for the entrance of the Nigerian forward, according to Sky Sports, who claims that Manchester United have expressed interest in signing Galatasaray star and Napoli-loaned player Victor Osimhen. Since joining Turkiye on loan in the summer, Osimhen has scored 12 goals in 15 games, including nine in the Super Lig. He is now in good form.

With just 18 months left on his contract, Osimhen has already been told that his time at the club is finished, and Napoli will want a price of about 75 million euros to transfer him. Rashford enters the debate since it is anticipated that a fee of this magnitude would be too costly for United in the absence of substantial sales. The 27-year-old is valued at approximately 40 million euros by United, which they may use to fund any deal with Osimhen.
