Al-Ahli of the Saudi Pro League is showing interest in England international Ivan Toney. The Sun claims that Brentford is now seeking £30 million in order to buy the player, whose contract expires at the end of the current campaign.

Toney has been connected to a significant summer transfer from Brentford, as the striker is being viewed by multiple Premier League teams. Furthermore, according to recent sources, Toney, 28, is reportedly drawing interest from leagues outside of England, with one major club considering making an offer for him.

Toney is still open to exploring his options, according to Fabrizio Romano, who also stated that the striker will weigh them all before the transfer market closes on August 30. The talisman from Brentford has previously been connected to Premier League teams, with rumors circulating that Manchester United is interested in signing him.

But it looks like Toney's options may be limited given that United chose to sign Dutch rookie Joshua Zirkzee and Spurs recently announced the signing of another Englishman Dominic Solanke. Furthermore, he wouldn't have been the first prominent Premier League star to relocate to Saudi Arabia if he chose to do so.

Moussa Diaby, a French winger, was sold by Aston Villa to Al-Ittihad in Saudi Arabia this summer for an alleged €60.00 million. Toney would join former Liverpool center forward Roberto Firmino as well as Manchester City attacker Riyad Mahrez at Al Ahli if he switches to the Saudi team.

Brentford set to lose their star striker Ivan Toney

With 72 goals across 141 games, the striker holds the club record for most goals scored, therefore Brentford would suffer a significant loss if he left. Although his deal with the London team will come to an end in 2025, Thomas Frank, the club's current manager, is eager to keep his standout player on staff.

With not much time remaining in the window and no scouting done for Toney’s replacement. It would be a poor sale in terms of Brentford’s point of view.
