Manchester United is investigating a deal to recruit Joshua Zirkzee, a striker for Bologna. David Ornstein of the Athletic reports that although club-to-club negotiations have not yet taken place, United has spoken with the 23-year-old's representatives. The Old Trafford team is reportedly targeting multiple forwards, including Zirkzee, in an effort to increase Erik ten Hag's options, especially in light of the departure of backup attacker Anthony Martial on a free transfer.

Zirkzee's Serie A contract has a buyout clause for £34 million (40 million euros), which makes him a potentially easier signing. However, it's important to take into account both his income and the agent's fee. Under Thiago Motta's leadership, the former Bayern Munich star flourished at Bologna last season, notching 11 goals and dishing out five assists as the team qualified for the UEFA Champions League for the first time.

Zirkzee was called up by manager Ronald Koeman to replace an injured player, and he is presently playing for the Netherlands national team in  2024. Before Ronald Koeman included him in his squad for the competition in Germany he was not present in the Netherlands squad. Although it's unclear if Zirkzee will play during the UEFA Euro 2024, a lot of teams will be keeping an eye on him.

Manchester United make formal bid for Fermin Lopez

Manchester United of the Premier League has reportedly offered Barcelona €30 million for playmaker Fermin Lopez. According to reports, the Red Devils were in touch with the intention of bringing the international player from Spain to Old Trafford. Barcelona, on the other hand, has made it apparent that Fermin will not be up for negotiations and that they do not have plans to let him go.

Fermin was formally moved to the senior team after making a strong debut for the team during the previous season. Lopez's outstanding effort earned him a spot in the Spanish team for the ongoing Euro 2024 in Germany. Barcelona also believes that Lopez will return for the upcoming campaign, therefore they deem United's offer to be wholly inadequate.
