Matthijs De Ligt and Noussair Mazraoui, two Bayern Munich defenders, have been linked to Manchester United. Manchester United is still anxious to sign both players even though it is anticipated that they will need departures from their team first this summer.

Florian Plettenberg claims that Bayern Munich have intentions to part ways with the two players and that they are in constant communication with Manchester United in order to reach a deal. It would be intriguing to watch if the two teams can reach a deal in the upcoming days and weeks.

De Ligt has demonstrated himself in the Bundesliga, and the Premier League would also benefit from his skills. Given that Raphael Varane left the team earlier this summer, he might be the perfect successor.

Naturally, Manchester United is considering the Dutch senior defender in need of defensive reinforcements. Last season, they gave up 58 goals within the league.

Mazraoui, meanwhile, will strengthen and bolster Manchester United's defense. Manchester United will have to find a replacement for Aaron Wan-Bissaka as he is poised to quit the team permanently. Mazraoui will want to leave an impression in the English Premier League after demonstrating his abilities with Bayern Munich. In the upcoming campaigns, both players would aid Manchester United in developing and pursuing trophies.

What are the main objectives for Manchester United for the upcoming season?

Although the Red Devils were able to take home the FA Cup the previous season, a team with their organizational structure should be able to consistently qualify for the Champions League and contend for major awards. They will get better if they get the appropriate players, but it is still unclear if Manchester United will be able to close the deals.

Manchester United should try to complete their transfer business prior to the start of the new season since they undoubtedly have the financial resources to see the deals through. They would be looking to focus on the field more now with the FA Community Shield final just nine days away.
