In what seems to be disturbing news for Manchester United, the rift between the manager Erik ten Hag and former left winger Jadon Sancho has taken centre stage. A new media report has learned that the handling of Jadon Sancho by Ten Hag has been one of the main reasons for the fractures and disturbances in the United’s dressing room.

“Before the Arsenal game in September, during a training session, Jadon Sancho did not commit to go pressing as an opposition player in the practice match in the way Erik ten Hag wanted,” said Man United correspondent for Athletic Laurie Whitewell.

Sancho was offered the chance to end his involvement early, which he took by walking off the pitch — this is why Erik ten Hag referenced his training levels in that famous interview,” Laurie’s report in The Athletics added further.

Going back in the ten Hag-Sancho rift, the former removed Sancho from the ‘scheme of things’ and accused him of not going hard while training. Furthermore, the 24-year-old left winger accused Ten Hag of lying and he also took a step back, refusing to offer any kind of apology in public.

In the same line of developments, Sancho moved to Borussia Dortmund after he was loaned from the United.

"Please don't believe everything you read!" - Sancho on Ten Hag's statement about him

Earlier Ten Hag had a ‘hard-and-fast’ reply when he was asked about Sancho’s absence from the Arsenal game.

“On his performance on training, we didn't select him,” said Ten Hag.

“You have to reach the level every day at Manchester United. You can make choices in the front line, so he wasn't selected in this game,” he added later.

However, these statements didn’t go down well with Sancho and he created a public statement on X (formerly Twitter.

“Please don't believe everything you read! I will not allow people to say completely untrue things. I have conducted myself in training very well this week,” said Sancho in his statement on X (formerly Twitter).

“I believe there are other reasons for this matter that I won't get into. I've been a scapegoat for a long time which isn't fair! All I want to do is to play football with a smile on my face and contribute to my team," he added later.

But interestingly, Sancho happened to delete this post from his X handle.
