Manchester United decided to keep their head coach Erik ten Hag for the upcoming season. The Dutch manager was rumoured to leave the club after he failed to lead the club to the UEFA Champions League for the 2024/25 season as they finished 8th in the league table, this was their worst season as they lost 14 games the most by the team's history and finished at the bottom half of the table of UCL.

The win in the final of the FA Cup against Manchester City earned them the qualification for the UEFA Europa League group stage. The INEOS management discussing over weeks has decided to keep the 54-year-old manager for the upcoming seasons. Sir Jim Ratcliffe has shown faith in the manager and believes that he is suited to the upcoming project of the club.

The Red Devils management will be undergoing a massive reshuffling in the upcoming transfer window. With some big names to be included in the transfer market for sale. Since they have preferred Ten Hag to continue with the club, they will now be focussing on buying some footballers in the summer window. They are planning to bring in a striker for the upcoming season as except for Rasmus Hojlund they do not have a proper No.9.

United targets Bologna striker

The Dutch coach said, "We need to sign an extra striker in the summer. And if we can sign another central midfielder and a replacement for Varane, things will look good again. If the team remains fit we can try and aim for the top 4 again." Joshua Zirkee has been on the radar of the club. He has been impressive for the Serie A club helping them to earn their first UEFA Champions League group stage qualification.

The Bologna striker has a £34m release clause in his contract and in the 2023/24 season scored 11 league goals in the domestic league and also ranks among the top five players in Serie A for creating big chances. Man U will be eyeing to acquire the service of the forward.
