Liverpool have been officially out of the English Premier League title race, after Manchester City's win over Fulham, on Saturday. The Reds sit seven points behind with just two remaining games to play, that means it is impossible to catch City.

Liverpool have been officially out of the English Premier League title race, after Manchester City's win over Fulham, on Saturday. The Reds where mathematically in the race of the PL race, but dream of winning the league in the last season of Jurgen Klopp remains unfulfilled for the Merseyside club. The German manager who already announced his departure from the club after 9 years of his stint. The management have already found the replacement with Arne Slot will be replacing him at Anfield next season. 

The Reds sit seven points behind with just two remaining games to play, that means it is impossible to catch City even if they win their remaining fixtures against Aston Villa and Wolves. Klopp since his announcement of the departure have been knocked out of the possible treble in the current season. They were competing for the PL, UEFA Europa League,and FA Cup. The game against Wolves will be the final game of the 56-year-old at Anfield.  

The Merseyside club have dropped 6 points from their last five games in the PL with winning only just two games against Fulham and Tottenham Hostpur and losing two against Everton and Crystal Palace, drawing one against West Ham United. In the current season of the German head coach the side have only won Carabao Cup beating Chelsea. 

Klopp will be regarded as one of the greatest coach in EPL

Liverpool have already secured their place for the UEFA Champions League next season. As the other two from England have been Arsenal and Manchester City. Klopp in the 9 years have changed the club dynamics by giving them one of the best moments by winning EPL after 30 years, in the 2019-20 season, he won the UCL as well with the club and qualified for the two finals in 2018 and 2022 losing against Real Madrid on both ocassions. 

With his departure there will be some players who will be leaving the club as well. However it will be interesting to see how Slot manages the club in the next season. The Dutch coach will need to meet high expecations as he will be replacing a coach who has given all the possible trophy to the club in almost a decade.
