Liverpool is making plans with Mohamed Salah as a member of their squad for the upcoming season and fully expects him to stay this summer. The 31-year-old attacker's contract is about to expire, and there has been further conjecture about his potential departure.

However, Salah has not indicated that he wants to go, which aligns with Liverpool's wish, and it is expected that he will stay at Anfield. After Al Ittihad made an attempt to sign the Egypt international last summer, Salah has been linked to a move to Saudi Arabia once more. However, the Saudi Pro League (SPL) administration believes that Salah wants to play for Liverpool for another season.

In 2025, when Salah will turn 33 and there won't be a transfer fee, the SPL may choose to concentrate on him if the forward chooses not to commit elsewhere or renew his contract with Liverpool.

Richard Hughes, the new sporting director, will take over his circumstances as well as those of skipper Virgil van Dijk and vice captain Trent Alexander Arnold, whose contracts expire concurrently with Salah's. These will be among the concerns to be resolved once the selection of Arne Slot as coach Jurgen Klopp’s replacement is finalised.

Salah has performed exceptionally well in 2023–24, scoring 29 goals across 49 games for his club and nation in all competitions.

The bust-up between Mohammad Salah and Jurgen Klopp on the weekend!

Salah looked to get into a furious argument with Klopp while he patiently awaited to be replaced in the second half of Saturday's draw against West Ham United. But there hasn't been any indication of internal worry regarding the event, and regardless of whether there had been a problem between them, it wouldn't really matter now that Klopp is leaving.

When Salah was set to be substituted, he appeared irritated by something Klopp said to him and wanted to continue the argument until teammates Darwin Nunez and Joe Gomez escorted him out. Klopp later said, "We spoke about that in the dressing room and it's done for me."
