Arne Slot, the manager of Feyenoord, is the most recent person to be connected to the coaching position at Liverpool, which will become available after Jurgen Klopp leaves at the conclusion of the current campaign. In reality, Slot is the front-runner to succeed Klopp at Anfield, according to prominent British media outlets. Slot, 45, claimed the Dutch Cup on Sunday after leading Feyenoord towards their first league championship in six years the previous season.

A year ago, before pulling himself out of the running, he was the clear favourite to take charge at Tottenham. According to reports from Sky Sports, the BBC, and The Times, Slot is currently in the lead for the coveted position of succeeding Klopp at Anfield.

However, Barcelona and Bayern Munich, who are also seeking for new coaches for the upcoming campaign, may present a challenge to the Reds. When Klopp stated in January that he would step down at the culmination of the current campaign after almost nine years in his current role, Xabi Alonso, the manager of Bayer Leverkusen and a former player for Liverpool, was the front-runner.

Alonso, though, has made the decision to remain at Leverkusen after helping the team win their first-ever Bundesliga championship.

Ruben Amorim, the coach of Sporting Lisbon, was apparently in discussions with Liverpool earlier. But now the possibility of him taking David Moyes' job at West Ham has increased after initial talks began between the two teams.

How is the Feyenoord manager the best replacement for Jurgen Klopp?

After making an impression in his very first managerial position at AZ Alkmaar, Slot joined Feyenoord in 2021. Towards the end of his first season, he guided the Dutch giants to their first-ever UEFA Europa Conference League final, where they were defeated by Jose Mourinho's Roma by a close margin.

With four games left in the Eredivisie title battle this year, Slot's team trails PSV Eindhoven by nine points. Slot then handed De Kuip just his second league championship in 24 years the previous season. Most of the football pundits have claimed that the Liverpool management is drawn to him because of his reputation for developing players and his fast-paced playing style, which is comparable to Klopp's.
