The nominees for the Kopa Trophy 2025 are out and some of the top emerging stars like Desire Doue, Lamine Yamal, Pau Cubarsi, and others are nominated from the Men's Division. The top contenders during the Ballon d'Or 2025 event from the Women's division are Vicky Lopez, Michelle Agyemang, Linda Caicedo, and so on.

Yamal will be eyeing to win the Kopa Trophy for the second consecutive time, which will make him the first payer to achieve the unique feat. In the past, the likes of Jude Bellingham, Pedri, Gavi, Kylian Mbappe, and others won it and went on to make a name for themselves. Yamal could be in contention to winning the Ballon d'Or itself but might have to wait for his maiden award.

In the 2024/25 season, Yamal helped FC Barelona to win Copa del Rey and La Liga titles. On the other hand, PSG's Desire Doue played a key role in them winning the Champions League. Likewise, Joao Neves, Myles Lewis-Skelly, and Estevao are also in contention to win the award.

In the Women's division, Agyemang is the frontrunner, given the way she helped England to retain their Women's Euros title. The Arsenal star scored a couple of goals and became the Young Player of the Tournament. The event will take place on the 22nd of September in Paris.
