Lionel Messi reveals shocking fact after being questioned on UCL final

Lionel Messi right now is preparing for the Copa America 2024. He currently plays for Major League Soccer (MLS) club Inter Miami and has been having a fun time playing with his former FC Barcelona teammates, Jordi Alba, Luis Suarez and Sergio Busquets. He is looking to defend the trophy and end his career on a high in the quadrennial international men's soccer championship. The Argentina captain is also the highest goal scorer in the South American football circuit. 

The 36-year-old left FC Barcelona back in 2021 as the club could not bear his salary and fees. After spending 17 long seasons with the Catalonian club, he has been a legend for the club and is the leading goal scorer for the Blaugranes as well. The forward has broken several records during his time in Spain. He scored 672 goals in 778 appearances, which is yet to be surpassed by any footballer. 

LM10 joined Paris Saint-Germain where he did not have good times in two seasons and after winning the 2022 FIFA World Cup as well he faced serious backlash at the club and from the fans as well. Despite leaving the club the footballer's love remains the same for the Spanish club. He among all the interviews has also hinted that he will possibly be ending his stellar career with Miami itself.

Messi was asked about the UEFA Champions League 2023/24 final and whom did he support, replying to it he said, "Champions League final? Yeah, we were supporting a Dortmund obviously, I'm a Barcelona fan and if theoretically, Barcelona was in the final, Real Madrid fans would support the opponent too, that's how it is in football."

The Argentine No.10 has intense rivalry during his playing days in Spain, in the El Clasico he is the top scorer as well with no other footballer scoring more goals or hattricks than Messi against Madrid in their arch rivalry. Over the years the rivalry has seen some of the best footballers playing against each other.
