The Copa America 2024 is just days away to make way. All 16 teams have been gearing up for the upcoming quadrennial international men's soccer championship organized by South America's football ruling body, CONMEBOL. USA prepares for yet another big event after co-hosting the T20 World Cup. 16 teams have been drawn in four groups and the top 2 will be qualifying for the knockout round. 

Argentina are the reigning champions of the of the tournament as they defeated Brazil in the final last time, with Angel Di Maria scoring the winning goal of the game. The La Albiceleste will be looking to defend their trophy once again. The game has seen some harsh football in the tournament, however, the fans have seen some amazing footballers over the years, the likes of Diego Maradona, Pele, Lionel Messi, Carlos Valderrama, Lionel Messi, and Neymar. Uruguay and Argentina have the joint most trophies with 15 each.

5. Roberto Carlos, Arturo Vidal

Roberto Carlos is one of the finest fullbacks of all time. The Brazilian known for his long-range shots and free-kicks, has been a World Cup winner for the Selecaos. He during in playing days was a fear for the goalkeepers, for his shot power. Arturo Vidal is one of the most underrated footballers of this generation. The Chilean midfielder will be featured in the upcoming Copa America, and he stands equal with Carlos with the most assists with 5 beside their name. 

4. Dani Alves and Neymar

Dani Alves has been the finest full-back of all time. The Brazilian has had a prolonged career with club and nation as well, delivering his best whenever he gets onto the field. Neymar is the all-time top scorer for Brazil's men's football team, as the 32-year-old forward's career has been ruined by injuries. He has not been named in the squad for the five-time world champions. However, he along with his former teammate have the same assists (4) in Copa America.

Charles Aranguiz has participated in four separate Copa America tournaments and this time he was not named in Chile’s squad for the upcoming tournament. Paolo Guerrero will be the oldest footballer to feature in the tournament in the upcoming days as he has already turned 40 and has an incredibly impressive record when it comes to this competition. He has been tied with the third most assists in the tournament with 5 to his name. 

2. Carlo Tevez, Angel Di Maria, Alexis Sanchez, Juan Arango

Carlos Tevez did not win the Copa America despite making three finals of the tournament. The former Manchester United forward however have been one of the finest second strikers for the nation. Angel Di Maria is the most underrated footballer of all time, scoring in four different finals for the La Albiceleste and winning all of them for the country.

Juan Arango is the only Venezuelan footballer making the list as he has been the star of the side over the years. Alexis Sanchez has been one such footballer who has won some of the biggest trophies on offer at club level, but winning back-to-back Copa America finals is the highest.
