After the game between Chelsea and Manchester City at Stamford Bridge, Kyle Walker took the opportunity to make a comment on Cole Palmer’s new contract. Palmer came through the Manchester City academy and has been in good terms with his former teammates as well.

Manchester City won 2-0 against Chelsea earlier today and this was another great performance from the defending champions. While the players greeted each other post the game, Walker made a hilarious comment on Palmer’s new deal. He said, “You signed a new contract bro. You're stuck here until 2033!!"

Cole Palmer, the England attacker, has committed to Chelsea through 2033 by signing a two-year contract extension, the Premier League team announced on Tuesday. The 22-year-old, who committed to the London team until June 2033, left Manchester City for Chelsea in a September move worth £42.5 million ($54.7 million, 49.7 million euros).

Palmer was regarded as one of the finest footballers in the English Premier League, ending the season with 22 goals, second only to Erling Haaland of Manchester City. He then played for England in the Euro 2024 final, when he scored an equalizer in a match against Spain after getting off the bench.

“I achieved a lot in my first season” : Cole Palmer

Palmer is one of the six players nominated for the Player of the Year award by the Professional Footballers' Association. A winner announcement is scheduled for August 20. He has now agreed to a nine-year contract with Chelsea, upholding the team's practice of locking down its youthful players to long-term agreements.

The former Manchester City playmaker said, “I am delighted to sign this new deal. I achieved a lot in my first season here, and hopefully I can continue to experience great things at this club, both on a personal level and in terms of bringing success and trophies to Chelsea."
