Germany and Switzerland are playing their final group-stage game of the UEFA Euro 2024. The host nation has already secured its place in the RO16 of the tournament. The Swiss just needed a point to confirm as the second team from the group to qualify. Julian Nagelsmann's side started the game excellently and tried breaking the deadlock, they scored in the 17th minute of the game, but the goal was ruled out.

Robert Andrich's long-range shot bounced in front of the Swiss keeper Yann Sommer and went into the goal, giving them the lead, but there was a possible check of a foul during the buildup of the goal. Daniele Orsato after the VAR checks confirmed that youngster Jamal Musiala had committed a late tackle on Michel Aebischer inside the Swiss penalty box, during the build-up led to the cancellation of the goal.

The Rossocrociati soon after the goal was ruled out took the lead, with Dan Ndoye scoring his first international goal, giving his team the lead with a simple finish in front of goal in the 28th minute. The first half ended with the underdogs leading in the game. The hosts have played brilliantly so far in the tournament and are the favourites to win the tournament as well.

Germany in search of the equaliser

Musiala has scored the most goals in the tournament so far (2) and has played an important role in Germany's midfield alongside Ilkay Gundogan, Toni Kroos, and fellow 21-year-old Florian Wirtz. The second half of the game began with the Deutschland having opened the defense failed to score with the score remained the same.

The side has already made two changes with Nico Schlotterbeck and David Raum coming in for Jonathan Tah and Maximilian Mittelstadt. Nagelsmann will be looking to try giving some time for the footballers on the bench with his side already securing the position for the knockout rounds, as he would like to check on the bench strength of the side. The home side is building on the pressure to find the equaliser for the match.
