All of Arsenal's injured players "want to play" when they meet Manchester United in the Premier League on Wednesday night, according to manager Mikel Arteta. The Gunners have five injury concerns going into the game, and it's still unknown who will be available when they play Ruben Amorim's team later this week.
Mikel Arteta provided an update on his team during his pregame news conference, revealing that certain players had not participated in full training before the match. "we're gonna have a meeting this afternoon. We have done a training session. We monitored and kept some players away from certain activities. They all want to play"
With 18 appearances in all competitions and three goals this season, Gabriel has been crucial for Arsenal. The Gunners' outstanding play has been largely attributed to his central defensive partnership with William Saliba, and Arteta is excited to have him in the starting lineup for the match this weekend.
Manchester United's concerns over injury woes
Arsenal, who are now in second place in the league, are trying to maintain their winning streak after defeating Nottingham Forest 3-0 and overcoming any residual effects of their international break. In all competitions, they have also defeated United in north London six times in a row. However, Arteta noticed a difference right away in the United under Amorim.
Kobbie Mainoo and Lisandro Martinez are suspended for United going into the game, and Victor Lindelof and Jonny Evans are both anticipated to miss out due to long-term medical concerns. On the selection front, however, there was some positive news: Leny Yoro is expected to be included in a competitive matchday squad for the first time, and Bruno Fernandes is fully recovered from his injury scare over the weekend.
