In the wake of this defeat, Havertz's wife, Sophia Weber, took a stand by sharing some troubling messages she received from fans, regarding her pregnancy. On the Instagram story, she shared some texts from her inbox expressing her uncertainty about how to respond. She believes that no one deserves to face such negativity.

Last November, Havertz joyfully announced the news that he and Sophia were expecting their first child. He shared heartfelt photos of the couple embracing, showcasing Sophia's beautiful baby bump for the first time. This moment came just four months after the couple tied the knot and received an overwhelming amount of good wishes from friends, including fellow footballers Ben White, Arsenal captain Martin Ødegaard, and Julian Brandt.

Havertz dedicated his goal against Crystal Palace to his pregnant wife, celebrating with a distinctive gesture—putting the ball under his shirt and sucking his thumb. Following the recent match against United, some fans have expressed their frustrations, directing their abuse towards Sophia's pregnancy and the couple. "For anyone to think it's okay to write something like this is so shocking to me... I hope you are so ashamed of yourself," Sophia wrote.
