In 2010, the Globe Soccer Awards were established with the intention of honoring the top players in the football industry. Bringing together some of the biggest stars in the sport, the award function is held in Dubai, United Arab Emirates, every January. Tommaso Bendoni, Italian businessman Riccardo Silva, and famous football agent Jorge Mendes founded the Globe Soccer Awards. With 11 victories in the Best Agent category in the 13 years since the awards' inception, Mendes has been instrumental in the development of this esteemed occasion.
Vini Jr. was the star of the 2024 Globe Soccer Awards. At the ceremony in Dubai, the Real Madrid striker was crowned both the Best player and the Best striker of the Year. The Brazilian received recognition for his contributions to the 2024 Champions League, La Liga, European Super Cup, Spanish Super Cup, and Intercontinental Cup victories for Los Blancos.
