Premier League football club Tottenham Hotspur is faced with all sorts of injury woes as their forward Dominic Solanke is sidelined due to a knee injury. He missed Premier League matches against Everton and was likely to be out for additional games, as reported by the Daily Mail.
Solanke joins Tottenham's injured list
The 27-year-old England international has become the latest addition to Ange Postecoglou's squad, which is already grappling with several injuries. The team is without key players, including goalkeeper Guglielmo Vicario, defenders Micky van de Ven, Cristian Romero, and Destiny Udogie, midfielder Rodrigo Bentancur, and forward Timo Werner, all of whom are sidelined due to fitness issues.
Solanke had netted 11 goals in all competitions this season and was likely to be replaced by Richarlison for the upcoming match at Goodison Park this weekend. The Brazilian forward, who has recovered from a hamstring injury, made a brief 15-minute appearance during the midweek clash against Arsenal and would face his former team if Postecoglou chooses to start him on Sunday.
Postecoglou provided an update on Solanke's injury
However, prominent news source SkySports has now reported that Tottenham's manager Ange Postecoglou has confirmed that Solanke is set to miss fixtures for the next six weeks. The knee injury that he allegedly sustained during training sessions is going to keep him out of action for the next month and a half.
Tottenham Hotspur will be hoping for a swift return to fitness for Solanke as they navigate an injury crisis. Currently sitting in 15th place in the Premier League, Tottenham has managed to secure just one point from their last five matches and is in dire need of finding their form to stay far from the relegation zone.
