After being disappointed with his performance the previous season while expecting a lot of himself, Antony has resolved to score more goals, provide more assists, and receive more recognition from the public. The previous season's returns from Antony were remarkably lackluster. Throughout the entire campaign, the Brazilian winger only managed three goals and two assists across all competitions.

He scored just eight goals in every competition and provided three assists in the previous season. Although it wasn't a horrible start to the English Premier League for some, it was unsatisfactory for an attacker who cost £86 million to sign. But the forward is certain that this campaign will be better and that more people will notice him.

The Manchester United winger said, “I have a lot of objectives. Rest assured, you’ll hear the name Antony in relation to goals and assists. I’m someone who demands a lot of myself and I was obviously not satisfied with my season.”

The former Ajax winger said, “A lot happened last season. I played full-back and was a little uneasy about it, but that was because with the team losing or drawing you want to be in the attack to turn things around and help the team. Being moved into defence bothered me a bit. You feel annoyed in the moment during the game, but afterwards it’s all fine. I have tremendous affection for Erik and he has a lot of affection for me. He’s a great coach and he knows he can rely upon me.”

Is Antony set for a move to Al-Nassr?

Al-Nassr is concentrating on acquiring Antony from Manchester United after the Raphinha move from Barcelona collapsed. The 24-year-old hasn't managed to live up his original £82 million transfer tag since joining United from Ajax in 2022. He scored just one goal in 29 matches in the Premier League the previous season.

Given that United is willing to get rid of Antony, Al-Nassr perceive an opportunity to bolster their squad in the forthcoming campaign. However, it is yet unclear what amount the Saudi side is going to shell out to sign him. Antony's skill and agility on the wing make him an appealing option for the Saudi club.
