The players of Chelsea had accumulated a total of six yellow cards and may face fines from the Premier League due to their lack of discipline. Earlier this season, they were fined for receiving bookings during their match against Bournemouth last month.

Chelsea's Gaffer's Take On the Bookings

Enzo Maresca, the coach of Chelsea, expressed his admiration for the determination shown by his players during the intense 1-1 draw against Nottingham Forest on Sunday, despite the match featuring a total of 11 yellow cards and a confrontation on the pitch.

The six yellow cards could result in fines from the Premier League for their lack of discipline. This comes after they were fined earlier this season for similar behaviour against Bournemouth. Maresca emphasized the need for improved discipline within the team while also acknowledging the importance of displaying emotion.

Despite dominating possession and having more touches in the opposition box, Chelsea failed to capitalize on their chances and were saved from falling behind in the final minutes by Robert Sanchez's exceptional goalkeeping.

Nottingham forests's striker, James Ward-Price was also booked with a red card in the 78th minute after he received two consecutive yellows. Visitor's gaffer Nuno Espirito Santo was also cautioned during the match amidst escalating tension.

“I like the team the way they are fighting for each other and becoming a team. I like the spirit of our team,” he said.

Chelsea now sits in the fourth spot, behind top 3 Arsenal, Manchester City and Liverpool.
