Viktor Gyokeres in action for Sporting CP

Sporting Lisbon’s manager Ruben Amorim is reportedly preparing to join Manchester United during the upcoming international break. Alongside this potential move, there are growing speculations about Viktor Gyokeres possibly joining him soon.

In form Viktor Gyokeres to move to Manchester United?

The Swedish international has been in the form of his life this season, contributing 20 goals and four assists in just 16 games, showcasing his impressive talent.

In a recent match on Friday, Sporting delivered a dominant performance against Estrela, winning decisively 5-1, which has helped them maintain their position at the top of the Liga Portugal league table.

Gyokeres, who has been in red-hot form, again displayed his exceptional skills by netting a remarkable hat trick before half-time and adding a fourth goal in the second half. This impressive performance has solidified his position at the top of the league's Golden Boot race, leaving FC Porto’s Samu in second place with seven goals.

Under the guidance of Ruben Amorim, Gyokeres has thrived, making a move to Old Trafford to join Amorim seem like a promising possibility. Given that Manchester United currently relies on just Rasmus Hojlund and Joshua Zirkzee as their primary strikers, bringing in a player of Gyokeres's calibre could greatly enhance their attacking options.

Following the match, Gyokeres shared his thoughts on the ongoing speculation regarding a move to The Red Devils. He expressed that he was not aware of any such connections and emphasized his enjoyment at Sporting Lisbon.

While Gyokeres is currently focused on his performance and success with the club, he remains open to the possibilities that the future may hold.

“Going with Amorim to Man United? I don’t know, I’m here. As you can see, I enjoy it at Sporting. It’s nothing I think about," Gyokeres said.

"I'm sad about him leaving. We wish him all the best,” he added.
