'I didn't know...' - Jose Mourinho takes savage dig at Saint-Maximin for being overweight

Portuguese gaffer Jose Mourinho is known for his savage personality. He once showcased his savage nature as he took a dig at one of his club's footballers, Allan Saint-Maximin, for being overweight when he expressed his concerns about the squad selection for Fenerbahce’s upcoming match against Rangers. 

As the Turkish team prepares for the second leg of their Europa League last-16 tie, currently trailing 3-1 on aggregate, Mourinho revealed the roster for the trip to Ibrox on Wednesday, which does not include Saint-Maximin this time.

Jose Mourinho's savage reply to Sant Maximin's poetry 

The former Newcastle winger, currently on loan at Fenerbache from Saudi Pro League team Al-Ahli, took to his social media to announce that he had been excluded from the team on his 28th birthday with a poetry of his own.

“It will take more than this to defeat me. When a lie takes the elevator, the truth takes the stairs. It takes longer but it always arrives in the end. If God is with us, who can be against us? Romans 8:31.” Saint Maximin posted.

Fenerbahce's coach responded immediately with a post of his own. The outspoken Special One shared his thoughts in an Instagram post. José asserted that he was unaware of Saint-Maximin's talent as a poet. He explained that when a footballer is fit and trains daily, they are capable of climbing the stairs.

 “I didn't know Saint-Maximin was talented in poetry. I'm not bad in that regard either. When a football player works well, works hard, trains every day, he is fit and can climb the stairs. He doesn't need an elevator. However, if a player doesn't train well, arrives late, is overweight, is not ready to play, he needs an elevator to go up. Because he gets tired quickly on the stairs.” Jose said.

Saint-Maximin didn't take Mourinho's 'overweight' dig lightly and immediately posted an image of his current weight along with his history with 'weights'

The special one is still hopeful that his team can stage an incredible comeback in the second leg in the second leg against the Scottish club Rangers at Glasgow and reach the final 8 of the UEFA Europa League.
