Mbappe has now scored 22 goals with the majority of the season remaining. 

During a podcast, former Real Madrid player Cristiano Ronaldo said that his son Matteo loves Kylian Mabppe. My son Matteo loves Mbappe." "He tells me that Mbappe is better than you. I tell him that your father was better, he has more goals," said Ronaldo in a podcast.

Ronaldo earned five Ballon d'Ors for his overall play and was a fantastic dribbler in his days. Mbappe is still waiting to win his Ballon d’Or award. Given that, Ronaldo had significantly greater influence and importance to Real Madrid than Mbappe does.
