Marcus Rashford of Manchester United has received a severe warning on his "lifestyle" from Erik Ten Hag. This season, the English forward fell short of the high standards he set for himself, but his boss has given him advice on how to improve. Rashford has scored three goals in his previous two games and appears to be regaining confidence after a challenging start to the 2024–25 season. In the EFL Cup, he scored twice and provided an assist against Barnsley after a long-range goal against Southampton to start his Premier League scoring for the season.

With only eight goals in all competitions during the previous season, Marcus Rashford faced criticism from certain fans and was left out of England's selection for Euro 2024. Ten Hag said that if Rashford kept up his proper "attitude" and "professionalism," he would demonstrate his abilities as a "class player." Ten Hag explains how the £300,000-per-week star can maintain his current hot streak ahead of games against FC Twente in the Europa League and Crystal Palace in the league.

After scoring thirty goals in his debut season in England with Ten Hag, Rashford's form declined dramatically the next year. His management has given tips on how to maintain his present stellar performance. Speaking before of the trip to Crystal Palace, Erik Ten Hag said, “ I think he always knew. Every player knows, that when your lifestyle is not right you can't perform in the league we have to perform in. "You don't get the right levels if you don't have a good and disciplined life away from Carrington. "He needed some help, by backing him, for instance. But he has to do it himself, at the end of the day. "He has to set his life right, his training attitude right, he has to set his match attitude right. When he sets his professionalism he will perform because he's a class player," reported by Goal.com.

Manchester United to face Aston Villa before the international break starts

It took Marcus Rashford until December to score his third goal of the season after signing a deal that made him one of the team's best earners in the summer, but the United sensation has already done so in the last two games. During the previous season, Ten Hag had chastised Rashford for missing training the day after being spotted at a nightclub and for going out on the same day that United lost badly to rivals Manchester City.

Manchester United will visit Villa Park to take on Unai Emery's very effective Aston Villa team before to the October international break. In order to battle their way back into Champions League contention, the team will need to rotate heavily in the coming months, and Rashford must be playing at his best.
