Physiotherapist Shane Ryan initially assessed that the injury would necessitate a recovery period of six to eight weeks. Recently, an update has been shared regarding Trent's condition. According to The Athletic, Trent is optimistic about returning from his high ankle sprain by the end of April, aligning with the initial diagnosis from the medical expert.
If the fullback does make a full recovery, he may feature in the club's remaining matches towards the end of the season. Whether he would be included in the squad remains at the discretion of the club's management and coach Arne Slot.
Arne Slot provided an update regarding the situation, indicating that there is no fixed timeline for Alexander-Arnold's return. However, the club remains optimistic that he will be back before the end of the season.
“Trent situation? He is injured, unfortunately. That means he is fully focused on his recovery”. Slot said.
Arne Slot's side leads the Premier League standings and is maintaining an enormous 12-point lead over the second-placed team, Arsenal. With only 9 matches to go, Liverpool are on the verge of lifting the Premier League title this season.
