The potential future owner of Everton, Dan Friedkin, has reportedly set his sights on Gareth Southgate as a potential replacement for Sean Dyche at Goodison Park. Pressure is mounting on Dyche after a winless start to the season, with only 23 victories in 69 matches under his leadership. The Friedkin Group, on the brink of acquiring the club from current owner Farhad Moshiri, may be considering a change in management as they look to take control in the upcoming weeks.

Friedkin has identified Southgate as a strong candidate to potentially take over from Dyche in the Everton hot seat as he edges closer to acquiring Everton, according to GMS sources. However, no final decision has been made regarding changes in the dugout as preparations continue for his anticipated arrival on Merseyside.

Southgate's Managerial exploits so far 

Despite previously earning £5 million per year as England's manager, the 54-year-old tactician resigned from the position after England missed out on Euro 2024 glory, with Spain emerging victorious in the final. Since then, he has been actively seeking a new challenge.

Gareth Southgate boasts a better managerial record than Everyone's current gaffer Sean Dyche. The former has won an impressive 138 games in 287 fixtures, while Dyche has managed just 192 wins in 543 Fixtures.

Southgate's win rate stands at 48% to Dyche's 35%. The team has also conceded more times than the number of goals scored under Dyche.

One last chance for Dyche

It has been shared with GMS sources that Dyche is entering a crucial period where his performance will be evaluated. It's important to note that he is not being held accountable for the recent matches where Burnley surrendered two-goal leads to Bournemouth and Aston Villa. Additionally, there is an understanding that Dyche has faced challenges in the transfer market.
