Anthony Martial is currently in high demand. The French international departed Manchester United on a free transfer after a nine-year stint with the club. Despite his considerable talent, injuries have consistently hindered his performance. Once heralded as the next Thierry Henry, Martial has spent the summer contemplating his next career move.

Reports indicated that AEK Athens, a Greek team, made a substantial offer to Anthony Martial, aiming to secure his transfer. However, it appears that AEK isn't the only club interested in recruiting the former Manchester United player.

Flamengo's striker, Pedro, has sustained an ACL injury, prompting the team to actively seek a replacement. Martial has been considered as a prime candidate to fill the void left by the Brazil international upfront.

Fabrizio Romano's Update

Famous Football Transfer Journalist Fabrizio Romano Posted on his X - "EXCL: Flamengo make contact with former Man United striker Anthony Martial among main options to replace Pedro. Following Pedro’s ACL injury, Martial has been approached while he’s considering several options for his future.'

Flamengo Set to Capitalise on the Opportunity

In his later years, Martial's performances were inconsistent, he experienced injuries, and he lacked game time under the current manager Erik Ten Hag, which affected his form. Martial only scored 12 Premier League goals in 64 appearances over the last four seasons, which ultimately led to his departure on a free transfer this summer.

Flamengo is looking to benefit from his availability as they aim to stay competitive in the Brazilian league. It remains to be seen whether Martial will accept the offer or choose a different destination, but a move to Brazil could offer the Frenchman the fresh start he is looking for.
