Erik ten Hag reportedly has two reasons for admiring Fulham player Antonee Robinson, which is why Manchester United is reportedly interested in signing him. With a summer transfer expenditure of over £180 million, Manchester United signed Joshua Zirkzee, Leny Yoro, Matthijs de Ligt, Noussair Mazraoui, as well as Manuel Ugarte.

Given that he can play a variety of positions this season, Mazraoui looks to be one of United's most valuable recruits. Diogo Dalot and the former star of Bayern Munich have been important players for Manchester United since the season's beginning.

Luke Shaw, meanwhile, has missed a few games due to a calf issue. The 29-year-old has struggled with injuries in previous seasons, and in 2023–2024, he played in just 12 Premier League games. Shaw needs to be replaced at Manchester United, and according to a story in The Sun, they are considering Robinson, who has been favoured by Liverpool. After three games this season, the 27-year-old, who is among the Premier League's best left-backs—has contributed two assists.

Robinson is reportedly being lined up by manager Ten Hag "to replace Shaw," although the Red Devils could find themselves selling him before they can make a big splash in the upcoming transfer window.

Christian Eriksen to leave Manchester United soon?

On the day of the transfer deadline, Man Utd purchased Ugarte and allowed Jadon Sancho to depart, but Ten Hag allegedly stopped Real Betis from making a last-minute bid to recruit Christian Eriksen and Antony. Eriksen might still decide to quit Manchester United, though, as a Dutch report suggests the seasoned midfielder is "turning heads" at Anderlecht.

In Belgium, the transfer window remains open until September 6. According to the local media, an agreement is expected to be reached in the next few days, as September 4th is the deadline for Anderlecht to send in their team for the European competition. Although Ajax has expressed interest in bringing Eriksen again to the Netherlands, it currently appears improbable given that the Dutch transfer market closes on Monday.
