Ralf Rangnick, the manager of Austria, is in talks to become the new manager of Bayern Munich. Rangnick, 65, disclosed last week that the Bundesliga team had gotten in touch with him regarding the position.

Rangnick is wanted by Bayern to take over as manager from Thomas Tuchel, who is set to leave at the completion of the current campaign. Bayern reportedly believes Rangnick can help the team bounce back from Bayer Leverkusen's 11-game winning streak in the Bundesliga this year.

Rangnick is getting ready to represent Austria in Germany at the forthcoming European Championship. Bayern is anticipated to make a selection by the end of the week and is not in talks with any other managers.

Rangnick is thought to be drawn to the position since it offers him the chance to turn things around at the club during a period of uncertainty.

He said last week that money will not be the deciding factor in any decision he takes. He said, "That doesn't matter to me at all. For me it's about other things: can I make a difference? Is there a chance of developing a team and being successful? My focus is on the Austrian national team. We are completely focused on the European Championship."

Bayern Munich set to announce their new manager this week itself!

As per a report by “@iMiaSanMia” citing journalist Martin Volkmar from Ransport, Bayern Munich is "confident" that it can finalize an arrangement with Ralf Rangnick to become the team's next head coach by Wednesday or Thursday. Furthermore, it doesn't seem like any member of the board opposes this action.

The Bayern authorities are optimistic that they and Ralf Rangnick will come to an understanding soon after the team's match against Real Madrid, most likely today or Thursday. All club committees and decision-makers, notably Uli Hoeneß and Karl-Heinz Rummenigge, fully backed Rangnick's nomination. Everything about Rangnick's contract extension until 2027 and his significant influence over squad composition is evident from Bayern.
