Tuesday night UEFA Champions League saw a game of comebacks for the first two quarter-finals. Both the games ended in a draw. On Wednesday, Paris Saint-Germain played FC Barcelona at the Parc des Princes and on the other side of Europe, Atletico Madrid hosted Borussia Dortmund at Wanda Metropolitano. Barcelona, having qualified for the Champions League last 8 after 4 years, started better than the home side. They kept Kylian Mbappe and Ousmane Dembele quiet for the first half of the competition.

Raphinha who was looking clinical from the start of the game, broke the deadlock after Robert Lewandowski picked the ball in the midfield and sent it wide to Lamine Yamal who gave a beautiful through ball as the Brazilian winger finished off his right foot. Atletico Madrid on the other hand scored from a sloppy mistake at the back by the Dortmund players with Rodrigo de Paul scoring. They again scored after centre back Nico Schlotterbeck who failed to clear the ball and Antoine Griezmann picking up the ball and playing a delightful ball to Samuel Lino who finished in the 32nd minute of the game.

The 2nd half at Paris started exactly the opposite with the home side scoring two back to back goals within 5 minutes with former Barca winger Dembele scoring the equaliser and then Vitinha making it 2-1. Raphina again scored making it 2-2 for the visitors from a beautiful lob from Pedri. The changes helped Barca as they scored in the 77th minute of the game with Andreas Christensen heading in from the corner of İlkay Gündoğan and turned out to be the winner for the game.

At Metropolitano, the game was slowed down in the 2nd half, there were only half chances that were not converted, but Lino could have made it three after he tried a volley from a free-kick which was blocked by the Dortmund keeper. Sébastien Haller pulled one back for the side who was lucky inside the box as a deflected ball came towards the striker as he finished it in the back of the net.
