Unsettled Manchester United winger Jadon Sancho is running out of time to secure a move away. According to The Athletic, Chelsea FC could make a move to sign the winger in the dying days of the summer transfer window. According to reports, the Blues are set to bid 40 million for the England star.

Jadon Sancho wasn’t even on the bench in the season-opening game versus Fulham on Friday. Joshua Zirkzee scored in the 87th minute of the game to give Manchester United all three points. At the end of the game, Erik Ten Hag said that Jadon Sancho wasn’t fit to make it to the bench.

Meanwhile, Fabrizio Romano has come out and showed a lack of awareness regarding the Sancho to Chelsea rumours. “I’m aware there have been some reports of Manchester United expecting Chelsea to move for Jadon Sancho, but my understanding for now is that Chelsea’s full focus was and is on Joao Felix,” he said.

The transfer guru also said, “I’m not aware of anything else at this point, but I can also confirm as I said several times that Jadon Sancho’s future is still open. Things can still happen for Jadon, it’s clear feeling on both club and player side. Let’s see what’s going to happen.”

Likely loan deal mooted for Jadon Sancho

According to reports, Paris Saint Germain were looking at a move for Jadon Sancho. Even Manchester United were looking at a likely swap deal in a bid to bring Manuel Ugarte to Old Trafford.

Juventus could look to bring the English star to replace Federico Chiesa who is set to leave the club. The Italian club would be interested in a loan deal as they cannot stump up the asking price that Manchester United has put out.

Erik Ten hag while speaking at the end of the Fulham game said, “First of all we need squad depth, this season will be survival of the fittest, I can only put 20 players in the squad. Then Jadon in the week had an ear infection, he was not 100 per cent fit. He could play but we made the choice, we preferred [to have] others on the bench. But that can change. It will change.”

The United manager also said, “We can't play everyone the same, you see today how important the subs are. Sometimes frustrating for the player, but it's about team, club, there will be more players in this position, we expect them to fight for the club."
