The summer transfer window is nearly here, and Manchester United is yet to decide if Erik ten Hag will remain as manager next season. Fans expect a roster change, but many would be devastated if team captain Bruno Fernandes leaves. On Friday evening, Fabrizio Romano provided an interesting update about Bruno Fernandes. According to an Italian reporter, the player's agent, Miguel Pinho, talked with several big European teams last week.

Stretty News recently learned that Bundesliga heavyweights Bayern Munich are quite interested in Fernandes. The Bavarians are preparing for the forthcoming transfer window, and the United playmaker is on their radar. FC Bayern Munich hired Vincent Kompany as the club's new manager this past week, and they will try to add more outstanding players to their roster following a dismal season that resulted in Thomas Tuchel's resignation.

Despite a poor season for United, Fernandes received the Sir Matt Busby Player of the Year Award. After netting 15 goals and assisting 13 times throughout the season, he excelled during the FA Cup final victory over Manchester City. Fernandes might still stay at Old Trafford since the Portuguese playmaker currently remains under contract till June 30, 2026, however this could alter if an appropriate offer is received.

Are Manchester United looking for Bruno Fernandes’ alternatives?

Bruno's value to United cannot be overstated. He was the driving force behind practically everything Erik Ten Hag's team accomplished last season. Obviously, he won't be at the club indefinitely, but losing him during the summer would represent a significant setback for whoever is in charge in August.

United have been associated with some outstanding young number tens, like 18-year-old Desire Doue, however if he is signed, he will be a player for the future and will probably embrace the opportunity to grow as Bruno's number two. Everyone will be forced to wait and see, although United fans can only pray that he does not go this summer.
